Nivea is not a brand I can say that I discovered. It’s more of a brand that is embedded in one’s consciousness. There was always a blue tin of cream in our bathroom cabinet. Very simple an minimal blue design with white inscriptions. So amazing and no no nonsense that it was owned by Guerlain. That’s right, the super luxe beauty house. Beauty shouldn’t be discriminating. I used to love the versions with avocado oil, almond oil and AHA. We’re talking over fifteen years ago. How could I forget my first shave, smooth legs was a necessity. Nothing would quite hold up to Nivea. from lip balms to skincare, I have rarely used a product that I was not satisfied with. Just amazing quality for the price out there. They were the first mass brand to introduce Q10 for the whole body. The Nivea market is under developed in the U.S market. Now, along with Nivea’s Q10 firming body lotion I also loooved the smooth sensation (until the formula w/hydra IQ) and all of their body washes. When in Europe or Canada I buy everything I can find, lip gloss, mascaras, nail polish you name it, I’m buying it. In the year 2011 Nivea celebrated her 100th birthday! She doesn’t look a day past 25. Raising my Nivea lip balm and a glass of champagne to 100 more beauty full years!!!
Happy 100th Birthday Nivea!!!
Bisous, bisous,bisous!
