I have the most annoying kind of hair. It’s fine, frizzy and dry! Can’t overwhelm it with moisture, it’s susceptible to falling flat. It’s just a pain in the you know what. I found a way to look effortlessly chic and sexy (best combo) for the summer. I have made hot rollers my new bff! It’s soooo simple! Depending on length and thickness of hair choose your rollers. Remington and Baby Liss make great hot rollers. The finer the hair the smaller they should be. A tighter curl will last longer. Poodle like at first but then loosens into sexy waves. First separate your hair into 6 to 8 sections, put on rollers after they’ve been heating for a good 20 minutes. If you have bangs make sure you set them separately and in the direction you want the hair to lay. The crown is of the utmost importance. You want your face to be properly framed. Leave on for 30 minutes, remove gently. Make sure you do not stretch the curl. Spray hair with a light texturising spray or hairspray. I love L’oreal Elnett Hairspray. Run your fingers through hair to loosen the waves. Now, we have a plethora of options to have that “I’m always this sexy and disheveled like I had the sexiest make out session look.”
Actually, the you post make out session really wants to look like this. The simplest option, gather all hair into a loose chignon and secure with pins anand spray. If your hair is on the longer side the you can pull off the ever so popular top knot. Leave some wispy pieces on the nape of your neck or around your face. The next look is classic, twist you hair in a banana and leave the front hair loose. Very Brigitte Bardot which is one of my beauty icons and my inspiration for summer 2011. The third, is a look I do almost daily and look great as it ungathers throughout the day. Take the two strands of hair closest to your ears, pull behind the head, secure with pin. Take remaining hair from the bottom, twist the ends and fold loosely up towards middle of head. Secure hair with more pins. Place the front of your hair by leaving it loose or twisting it flat to he head. I personally like leaving my overgrown bangs swept to the side in a layered cascade. Muy caliente! This looks great under a great hat. Spray, Spray, Spray! The goal is to have texture in the hair which creates volume in finer textured hair. Like the laws of the universe: It’s organised chaos.
